An extensive extended voyage around the Land Down Under is being halted following the tragic passing of an elderly lady who was left behind by the vessel on a remote tropical isle.
The elderly woman had been trekking on the tropical location with shipmates from the cruise ship, but parted ways from the group for a rest. The liner sailed away leaving her and came back later that day after the ship staff became aware the lady was missing.
A large-scale hunt discovered her remains the following day.
Investigative bodies are looking into the incident, together with investigators and the medical examiner.
Head of the voyage organizer said that guests and crew on the vessel were informed that the remainder of the voyage had been terminated due to the "unfortunate death and earlier engine troubles".
